Comments As part of the well-known lawsuit between Bouvier and Rybolovlev, the original dealers who sold the da Vinci painting to Bouvier (via Sotheby's) are seeking restitution as well. They argue Sotheby's either knew or should have known that Bouvier would go on to up-sell the painting immediately after purchasing it.
